Introduction

The stowage compartments must only be used for light or small objects.

There may be a factory-fitted AUX‑IN socket in front of the open stowage compartment in the front centre console.

There may be a factory-fitted multimedia socket (MEDIA‑IN) in the stowage compartment on the front passenger side.

So that stale air can escape from the vehicle, the ventilation slots below the loading edge and near the first-aid kit must not be covered.

There are stowage compartments in the front doors ⇒ fig. 95 that can hold a 1-litre or 1.5-litre bottle A and smaller objects B (e.g. a high-visibility waistcoat).

To open, press the release button on the centre armrest ⇒ fig. 98 (arrow) and lift the lid all the way up.

To close, push the lid down.

Opening and closing the stowage compartment

To open, pull the lever ⇒ fig. 99
To close, push the lid up until it engages.

Vehicle wallet stowage compartment

The stowage compartment on the front passenger side is intended to hold the on-board literature.

The on-board literature is kept in the lower part of the stowage compartment ⇒ fig. 100 1.

Always keep the on-board literature in this compartment.

To take it out:

Open the lid.
Take hold of the on-board literature at the side and lift it out.

To put it back:

Place the on-board literature in the compartment.
Close the lid.

Multimedia socket (MEDIA-IN)

There may be a multimedia socket (MEDIA-IN) 3 in the upper part of the stowage compartment ⇒ booklet Radio or ⇒ booklet Navigation system.

Holders

On the inside of the compartment lid 4 there is a glasses compartment, a card holder, a pen holder and a coin compartment.

Cooling the stowage compartment

There is an air vent 2 in the side wall through which cold air can be directed into the stowage compartment when the air conditioning system is switched on. Open or close the air vent by turning it.

To open, take hold of the handle ⇒ fig. 101 (arrow) and release the cover from its catch.

To close, place the cover in the trim and push it in.

Drawers

There may be a drawer under each front seat

Opening or closing the drawer

To open, press the button on the drawer handle ⇒ fig. 102 (arrow) and pull the drawer out.

To close, push the drawer in under the front seat until it engages.

Coat hooks in the roof

There are coat hooks on the centre door pillar and on the rear grab handles in the roof lining ⇒ fig. 103 (arrows).
